The Commercial Pilot License (CPL) Training makes up the first part of the Airline Pilot Training. You will gain the license qualifications to be able to establish a career within the commercial aviation industry.
The Commercial Pilot License allows you to fly for hire. This is the core license needed to do any flying for compensation, such as flight instruction, sightseeing, cargo-carrying, airline work etc. The focus of the flight training is mastery of the airplane in maneuvers, night flight and extended cross-country trips.
Flying Experience Requirements for a Commercial License are within those approved by ICAO and the training imparted by TransAsia partner schools will be compliant for the same.
Sri Lanka CAA requirements for Commercial Pilot Licence.
1. Age not less than 18 years.
2. Medical fitness (Class I).
3. Security Clearance.
4. Flying experience as below.
5. English Language Proficiency. (Level 4 or higher)
6. Flying school recommendation for skill test
Flight Experience: Total 200 hrs
Students interested in acquiring Sri Lankan CPL will have to pass a regulation knowledge test and have an interview at the Certification & Licensing office. You will then be able to apply for pilot vacancies with the airlines.
