| COMMERCIAL PILOT LICENCE
(CPL) |
The Commercial Pilot License (CPL) training makes up the first part of the Airline Pilot Training. CPL provides the formal qualification to be able to establish a career within the commercial aviation industry.
The Commercial Pilot License allows you to fly for hire. This is the core license needed to do any flying for compensation, such as flight instruction, sightseeing, cargo-carrying, airline work etc.. The focus of the flight training is mastery of the airplane in maneuvers, night flight and extended cross-country trips.
Requirements for a Commercial License
- Private Pilot Certificate
- 18 years old
- Second Class Medical Certificate
Minimum DGCA Requirements for CPL:
- 200 hours Flight Time, including;
- 10 hours Cross Country
- 100 hours as Pilot-in-Command
- 20 hours training, including;
- 10 hours Instrument
- 10 hours Complex Aircraft
- 1 Day VFR Cross Country > 100 Nm
- 1 Night VFR Cross Country > 100 Nm
- 3 hours Test Preparation
- 10 hours Pilot in Command, including;
- 5 hours Night VFR
- 1 Cross Country > 300 Nm
Successful completion of the Commercial Pilot Knowledge and Practical test
